REVIEWS ________________________GREG BOBULINSKI________________

Greg, "Grog", "Rebo" Bobulinski has been a great friend of mine for more than thirty years. When my Big-Bad Band was in its prime, "Ole" Greg was always the quarterback of the trumpet section.

- Clark Terry - Jazz Trumpet MasterRecording Artist & Jazz Educator

. . . here comes Greg Bobulinski . . . with all the equipment necessary for success-superior technique, gorgeous tone on both Trumpet and Flugel, a well-stocked reservoir of cogent ideas . . . Greg Bobulinski . . . is a seasoned mainstream trumpeter with excellent command of his horn and plenty of things to say.

- Jack Bowers - All About Jazz CD Reviewer

To Greg Bobulinski, jazz trumpet extraordinaire, who reminds us that life is not merely endless commerce.

- Donald P. Borchert, author - dedicates his newest nonfiction book - Free For All (Virgin Books)

The first man to hire Greg Bobulinski was Red Garland - that tells you his skill, and the way he plays. One horn, many sounds. Greg Bobulinski loves the old swing; you can tell from his fervor, and his tone.

- John Barrett, Jr. - Jazz Improv Magazine CD Reviewer

I was impressed by all of his (Greg Bobulinski) compositions - . . . but the beauty of Dream On Brother Noah almost moved me to tears. This instrumentalist-composer proves once again that one does not necessarily need an orchestra to create music, especially music of expression, interest, and beauty.

- Ernie Wilkins - Legendary Arranger, Composer, Saxophonist (Count Basie Orchestra, Cannonball Adderly, Sarah Vaughn,

  Harry James, and many more)

GREG BOBULINSKI EDUCATION REVIEWS______________________________________________________________________________________________

For more than one year, I have been taking music and trumpet lessons from Mr. Greg Bobulinski. As an educator myself, I am very impressed with his abilities, skills, and knowledge as a teacher. He is very explicit in his approach to trumpet and general music instruction, and is able to motivate students to achieve excellent results.

- Joseph R. Behar, Ph.D.Professor of Sociology - Dowling College

Back when I was in college, I studied jazz trumpet with Greg Bobulinski . . . Greg’s one of the most talented people alive. I’m one of the luckiest people alive having been able to study with him and pick his brain. . . (he) taught me how to think . . . cultivating my mind, and my playing became better from it.

- Stephen Rudolph, trumpeter and author -  from the Stillsky Blog - January 1, 2007

A very interesting story about Greg Bobulinski . . . I’ve taken lessons with him. The story you told about Greg and Freddie Hubbard doesn’t surprise me at all. In fact, it enlightens me as to why Greg’s style of teaching is as such. He isn’t the fly-by-night type of instructor looking to make his dollars $$$ every lesson and ignoring his student’s needs. Instead, he intensely and rigorously takes his students down a path of fierce trumpet studies and more . . . his experiences have made him a great teacher. His method of teaching, the ‘Heuristic Method’ . . . emphasizes the student’s participation throughout the course of the lessons, rather than sitting back and simply absorbing information.

The first ‘Popera” is based on “The Interlopers” by H.H.Munroe (SAKI), was completed December 2012, and is now in the preparation stages for recording and performance. The second opera is based on the short story by Franz Kafka entitled ‘A Country Doctor’.
